"Thank you IMR for this wonderful
opportunity to practice my trade in
beautiful South Australia. The friends I
have made in the hospital will be friends
for life and the experience has given me a
whole new insight into practicing Surgery.
Without any of the hassle of running a
practice, I managed to devote all my efforts
into working as a clinician. There was
minimal paperwork or administrative issues
and my main focus was operating which is
what I originally trained to do!"

"Just returned back to Scotland
after spending six months working in
Tasmania. I had the good fortune of doing a
six months posting there. The first three
months were in Emergency and the last three
months in General Medicine. I managed to get
real hands on practical experience there
with good senior cover. I performed over 15
endotracheal intubations, countless number
of central lines and gained good experience
as team leader in resuscitations. The senior
supervision here is excellent and the
clinical teaching sessions held here are
much better than we were used to.
On a lighter note, Tasmania is without doubt
the most picturesque place I have ever seen.
There are beautiful mountains and lakes here
which provide some of the most scenic walks
in the world. The coastal regions of
Tasmania are truly charming and the people
are very warm and friendly. I wholeheartedly
recommend Tasmania to all doctors who are
looking to broaden their horizons and
practice medicine in an enchanting
place."
